“And I’d love to read you book, when it’s done!” He laughs faintly. “Fantasy and tales are… well, important, I think. History changes depending on locale, and what really brought people together in the early days of civilization were stories and leisure that everyone can relate to. Fiction connects the world - and I have a soft spot for all of it, of course.”
“The shop — Miss Pleasance knows where it is - she keeps me company sometimes while I set everything up. I’m to go on a trip soon, though - I intend to open on my return. Id be honoured to see you there some time.”
Alice laughs a bit and raises her hands in surrendered matter, “If I ever get my story finished, I’ll send the first copy of it to you, among a few other people, of course. But it’s only if and a big IF, too! I’ve been too busy to work on it lately, with all the studying and packing things for moving in with Jervis… But the story forms in my head bit by bit and whenever I have the time again, I’ll sit down and write!”
“Yes, I’ve heard about the trip. You’re going with Alice, right? That’s nice. I hope you’ll enjoy the trip, both of you”, she smiles, “And afterwards, when you come back, I’d be delighted to visit your shop!”
